Calling all aviation enthusiasts! Columbia Metropolitan Airport (CAE) is accepting photo submissions through Monday, August 3 by 5 p.m. for an aviation day photography exhibit in recognition and celebration of National Aviation Day on Wednesday, August 19.
The goal of this exhibit is to showcase the talent of local aviation lovers – fondly called AV Geeks – by featuring photographs taken at CAE of aircrafts or airport moments in a curated gallery in the CAE lounge on National Aviation Day. CAE encourages photographers of all experience levels to participate.
“Whether it’s a plane in the sky, stunning sunset ramp shot, or a unique perspective from behind the lens, we want to see aviation through your eyes,” said Samantha Kingsmore, Marketing & Brand Manager at CAE.
National Aviation Day, observed annually on August 19, is a nationwide celebration recognizing the history and achievements of aviation. The day celebrates the individuals and advancements that have shaped the aviation industry while inspiring future generations to pursue careers and opportunities in flight.
